When I composed the music for “Sonic the Hedgehog 1&2”, I tried to write a soundtrack for the movie.
One of my compositions, “Emerald Hill Zone” will be used in the movie “Sonic the Hedgehog 2” which will come out in 2022. Masato Nakamura, composer for Sonic the Hedgehog (1991) and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (1992) for the SEGA Genesis, has expressed in his blog how overjoyed he is to have his music being used in a Hollywood production, while also confirming that Emerald Hill will not be used only for the teaser.
